Socialism is a sham where your tomorrow is sacrificed at the alter of slight bettering of today. But remember that the future will never forgive you when it realizes that you sold his fortune for pennies and were not brave enough to ask for what was your right.
Recently, ED confiscated nearly 20Cr in cash at the house of Bengal Minister Parth Chatterjee’s aide Arpita Mukherjee.
The cash is said to be linked to a teacher appointment scam. When people work hard honestly this is the outcome of that hard work.
Think of it this way, you work hard, finish your graduation and do your B.ed only to find out that your job has been sold to the highest bidder and there is no one to hear your plea. Largely because there is no one interested. Another reason is the absence of a real metric and transparency in the filling of vacancies. The process is largely discretionary.
This is a prime example of how socialism not only breeds but also sustains incompetence. In a socialist state, everything is for sale.
The common public works hard for the prestigious government job and for that they are ready to pay huge sums. But why such a craving for working in the public sector and not in the more lucrative private one?
For one socialist restrictions don’t allow the private sector to flourish.
Licence Raj further makes the setting up of business tedious, time taking, and unnecessarily complicated. Most importantly it is harassing to the common folk.
People prefer even lower class government services with lower pay on the account of “under the table income”.
The people like the minister are mere pawns in the system that is rotten and corrupt to its core.
If it is Parth Chatterjee today it was Raja in the 2G and Kalmadi in the Commonwealth Games. Who knows who will it be in the future? The names may change but the fact remains. It is their right to earn for they have spent millions in appeasement of the public on whose back they sit in the Parliament. People who are meant to serve the people think of it as their right to steal from the treasury. This is what the system teaches them.
Socialism teaches strict control and this control often converts to the opportunity to suppress.
The socialist order protects the elite which includes the top bureaucrats, politicians, and their oligarch friends. To prevent their privileged position the people must be dependent on the elite for everything that is why socialists deter from the free market. Free distributes as per the need and not according to the whims and wishes of the high and the powerful.
The dread of the government office where everyone wishes to work but no one wishes to go to get their work done. For an ordinary clerk may stop your house from being constructed even when all the norms are followed. The idea of feeling important and as a member of the ruling elite becomes the aim. Everybody ignores the ill intention and deeds of the dominant ruling class and tries to befriend them as no improvement or reform is expected. So, a deal with the devil is done and in return, the people get whatever is thrown at them.
The population fights for small jobs amongst themselves and fails to ask the rulers why there is not enough for everyone. Why one must lose for the other to gain?
Socialism follows the zero-sum game where opportunities are limited and can only be provided to one when the other loses. The free market opportunities are shown as the evil work of the devil where the rich snatches from the poor. This dystopian vision of an economic system that virtually ended poverty in the west and brought people out of abject poverty in East and South East Asia is delusional. The socialist continues to loot and people continue to suffer and fight either their own neighbor or a distant rich man who is said to usurp the opportunity which they desired for their own children. No one bothers to ask to increase the size of the pie. Everybody wants a piece but no one wants to work for it.
Don’t blame Parth Chatterjee for he is not the mastermind of the game. He is a mere pawn in the larger scheme of things whether you capitulate to the conditions or you are shown the door. He might be a big fish for us but he is a nobody when we look at who all are eating the pie. Socialism keeps us poor and then they use our poverty to create their own political careers.
Socialism is a sham where our tomorrow is sacrificed at the alter of slight bettering of today. But remember that the future will never forgive you when it realises that you sold his fortune for pennies and were not brave enough to ask for what was your right.
