QURAN SAYS ‘IDOLATORY IS WORSE THAN CARNAGE’, ‘IDOLATRY IS THE UNFORGIVABLE SIN’ BUT I WILL JOIN GARBA DANCE BECAUSE INDIAN CONSTITUTION IS SECULAR!
A Muslim has no moral or religious right to attend any Hindu festival. It’s not about secularism. India is secular but Islam can’t be. If it’s secular, it’s not Islam. Quran says, ‘Fight against them until idolatry is no more’ (II, 193). ‘Idolatry is worse than carnage’ (II, 217).
I ask Muslims a simple question.
From dress code to divorce, you immediately refer to Quran, be that a TV debate or a presenting a case in the Supreme Court. If in all matters about life, for a Muslim Quran is ‘where the buck stops’; why Quran does not matter when it’s about leaving your woman at your homes, you will enter Hindu sacred places where idols are worshipped in the name of secularism with Quran in their heart!! There are countless Hadith prohibiting Muslims joining the isolators festivals. Muslim scholars have called it Haraam for Muslims to participate in Hindu festivals
Your reasons can be many! Takiya or lust or love Jihad but certainly it’s not for understanding Hinduism or a social etiquette. You conveniently adopt the makeup to suit the occasion.
You are welcome to join the Hindu festivities but first reject the Book you believe in. ‘Come home’ first before coming to the Hindu Gods.
