A forest and wildlife in it can be so exploited that rate of regeneration is always ahead of human consumption. Or it can be overexploited and made extinct. This is true of every regenerating natural resource.
The way Mu.slims and British plundered India has not been fully investigated. Cheetah is in news. So some bits and pieces of evidence are emerging how Mughals hunted them to extinction, task completed by the British. This is true of the most of the Indian wildlife and forests. Yet we read only “Mughals brought this, British gave that.”
So the forests and wildlife preserved for over ten thousands years by Hindus were wiped clean in 800 years. And we do not even know about it.
Strong men of character and wisdom save so much: not just their societies, but entire धरा।Does this sacred भूमि know that by stopping to produce such men it has brought calamity on itself also?
